Trevor Silmser
Raised in the worlds of underground music, skateboarding, and the culture surrounding them, Trevor Silmser was a music obsessive early—promoting shows in junior high and touring and recording through his late teens and early twenties. He began his professional career at Nasty Little Man, working with artists including Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Beastie Boys, Rancid, and Aphex Twin under founder Steve Martin. After 9/11 displaced the company’s offices near the World Trade Center, he was offered a desk at VICE Media’s Brooklyn headquarters—marking the beginning of a defining chapter.
Immersed in the New York scene, Silmser expanded into artist management, live events, and dealmaking—working with labels including Island Def Jam, Republic Records, Universal Music Group, and American Recordings. He secured television appearances across Saturday Night Live, Conan, MTV, and Top of the Pops, alongside major festival placements including Reading and Leeds Festivals, Warped Tour, Lollapalooza, and Coachella. During this period, he also co-founded The Studio at Webster Hall with nightlife figure Lon Ballinger, creating a platform for emerging artists.
He went on to lead VICE’s music vertical, Noisey, as Global GM for over a decade—building it from the ground up into a leading global discovery platform. Under his leadership, Noisey became a dominant force across YouTube and digital, reaching over 4 million subscribers and more than 1 billion video views, while securing partnerships with brands including Budweiser, Pepsi, Apple, Dell, Garnier, Hennessy, Toyota, Microsoft, and Gap.
Silmser later served as Head of Content and Brand Partnerships at Warner Music Group, where he led cross-platform content strategy, distribution, and commercial partnerships across digital, streaming, and emerging platforms.
He is currently the founder of Good Call Music, a rapidly growing music discovery and production platform focused on identifying and amplifying emerging artists through short-form content, editorial, and original programming. Built organically, Good Call has quickly developed a loyal audience and early brand partnerships, positioning it as a next-generation voice in music discovery.
Based in Los Angeles, Silmser continues to work across content, partnerships, and artist development, bringing decades of experience across music, media, and culture into everything he builds.
